- U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with Luminex Software Inc., 871 Marlborough Ave., Riverside, CA 92506 to provide repair service and maintenance on Perfect Image Protégé II CD/DVD Writer hardware/printer and its related software; ImageBuild Client/Server Software and Convert/View Client Server software. There is only one responsible source as only Luminex is the only known responsible provider of Software and Hardware Support for the Rimage Perfect Image Protogee II Compact Disc (CD) Writer, which is currently used by Customs and Border Protection. The period of performance shall be from August 1, 2013 through July 31, 2014. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 541519, and the size standard is 150 employees. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate directly with Luminex. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. An award shall be made to Luminex. The anticipated award date is 31 May 2013. However, if any interested party believes it can meet the above requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement of capabilities must be submitted in writing and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow the Government to determine if the party can perform the requirement. A determination to compete this action based on the responses received is at the sole discretion of the Government. All interested parties must express their interest and capabilities in writing via email to sonya.freeman@dhs.gov. Verifications of receipt of responses are the sole responsibility of the contractor. If no responsive statements are received by 28 May 2013 at 11:00 a.m. EDT, an award will be made to Luminex Software Inc.
