- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov, and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE TO ONLY THE CONTRACTOR UNDER N00164-10-D-GS56. The Government has a requirement to extend the period of performance from 28 September 2013 to 30 September 2015 for the Submarine Valve Regulated Lead Acid (SVRLA) Automatic Battery Monitoring System (ABMS) on contract N00164-10-D-GS56. The ABMS is used to monitor battery cell and battery system parameters to ensure safe battery operations. The VRLA ABMS will interrogate battery sensor information for evaluation and transmission to various remote interfaces. This is an extension to a current Firm-Fixed-Price contract for an total quantity of up to 24 (each) ABMS ™s systems FOB Origin procedures will be followed. Provisioned items (spare parts) and a small amount of support services will also be required. Delivery of the first system will be required in April 2014. This procurement will be negotiated on a sole-source basis with L-3 Maritime Systems, 90 Nemco Way, Ayert, MA 01432, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. To be eligible for award, contractors must be properly registered in the Government(s) System for Award Management database (SAM). Offerors may obtain information on SAM registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-866-606-8220, or via the Internet at https://www.sam.gov. The extension request will be sent on or about 23 May 2013.
