- The National Forests in Florida, Florida National Scenic Trail program, would like to solicit project proposals for the completion of a Florida Volunteer Capacity Study for Outdoor Stewardship with a special emphasis on the Florida National Scenic Trail (FNST). This study is an extension of the Florida Outdoor Volunteer Initiative, a project of the FNST Coalition which is a multi-member body of land managers and partners dedicated to building, promoting and maintaining the Florida National Scenic Trail. Key factors in the success of the FNST as the backbone of Florida's outdoor recreation and cultural heritage resources are an increased statewide volunteer capacity, a stronger outdoor stewardship ethic and a more coordinated process to recruit and engage volunteers. Contract awards will be based on 'Best Value' to the Government. Evaluation factors include past performance, experience, method, and price. This solicitation is 100% set aside for small business concerns.
