Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), intends to issue a Firm-Fixed-Priced (FFP) contract with GE Aviation Systems (GEAS). This effort will procure Advanced Memory Units (AMU) for use with the Tactical Aircraft Moving Map (TAMMAC) Capability system. The AMU's will be F/A-18C/D, AV-8B, and UH-1Z/AH-1Y aircraft platform compatible and shall comply with the applicable TAMMAC performance specifications. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." Unless otherwise stated herein, no formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available. Request for same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis is published for information purposes only. As GE Aviation Systems is the sole designer, developer, and supplier of the AMU family of products and related ancillary equipment, GEAS is the only company with the necessary engineering data, technical skills, and requisite knowledge to fulfill this requirement within the time required.
