- Site Visit Registration Form Solicitation Document RFP Cover Letter PURPOSE This is a U.S. Embassy Baghdad Solicitation Notice. BACKGROUND The U.S. Mission in Iraq has a requirement for residential furniture move and installation services at its facility Camp Condor located at the U.S. Embassy - Baghdad. Anticipated service performance is within a period of estimated 70 days. Major duties and responsibilities are move and installation services consisting of move and installation of Drexel residential furniture at the project site. PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION The Contractor shall provide services as described herein at the U.S. Embassy - Baghdad. Accordingly, the U.S. Embassy Baghdad plans the issuance of the following solicitation (RFP): 1. RFP reference number: S-IZ100-13-R-0013 2. RFP Title: Residential Furniture Move and Installation Services for the U.S. Embassy - Baghdad, Iraq. 3. RFP issuance date: May 13, 2013 4. RFP issuance method: Electronic RFP distribution though the U.S. Embassy web site at http://iraq.usembassy.gov/gso_procurement.html - no paper copies will be mailed. All responsible sources holding appropriate permits may submit a proposal in response to the RFP, to be considered by the U.S. Embassy - Baghdad. 5. RFP response date: June 13, 2013. 6. Award date: To be determined. 7. Award type: a firm fixed price completion type contract. The quantities that will be stated in the solicitation are based on the Government's requirements. 8. Award procedures: In accordance with FAR 14.2 and FAR 14.3 9. Duration of contract period: a period of estimated 70 days to complete the service requirement. 11. Place of performance: Camp Condor at the U.S. Embassy located at the International Zone in Baghdad, Republic of Iraq. 12. Special contract requirements: a) The Contractor shall possess all permits, licenses, and any other appointments required for the prosecution of work under this contract. The U.S. Embassy Baghdad plans to hold a pre-proposal conference for Contractors. Interested parties are reminded that information furnished hereunder may be subject to disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Therefore, all items that are confidential to business, or contain trade secrets, proprietary, or personnel information must be clearly marked. Marking of items will not necessarily preclude disclosure when the U.S. Embassy Baghdad determines disclosure is warranted by FOIA. However, if such items are not marked, all information contained within the submitted documents will be deemed releasable.
