- This is a sources sought announcement for a road repairs contract which shall include but is not limited to construction of pavement and infrastructure installation and/or repair (construction) at Fort Polk, LA seeking Small Business responses in order to determine if a sufficient number of certified 8(a) small business concerns with the required capabilities and financial resources exists to warrant issuance of a solicitation for this requirement under small business set-aside procedures (FAR Part 19). The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Fort Drum intends to procure a broad range of road repair work on real property at Fort Polk, LA, 71459. The contract shall be an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) for road repair and improvements, and construction on Fort Polk, Peason Ridge including the access route of Fort Polk to the Peason Ridge training area, Horse head, Toledo Band Army Recreation site, and Passenger Processing Facility at England Airport, Alexandria LA. The Contracting Officer has classified this requirement as Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 237310. The small business size standard is $33.5 million. The magnitude of this requirement is estimated to be between $10 million and $25 million (base year and 2 option years). Responses must include the following information: (1) Name, Address, Phone, Fax, e-mail and DUNS number and CAGE Code of the firm and/or any joint venture firm; (2) A list of no more than five, Road Repair type construction contracts your firm/joint venture currently holds or has completed within the last three years. For each relevant and recent contract listed, include the firms/joint venture point of contact name, contract number, location(s), description, yearly and total values, performance dates, and contracting officer or contract administration point of contact information, including address, phone and fax numbers, (3) A statement identifying the interested firm/joint ventures bonding capacity. Responses must be no more than 4 pages. This sources sought announcement is not a request for competitive proposals. Since this is a sources sought announcement only, no evaluation letters and/or results will be issued to the respondents. No solicitation exists and solicitation requests will not be acknowledged. Unsolicited proposals will not be considered, nor will telephone inquires be accepted. All information received will be considered market research.
