- THIS IS A TOTAL 100% SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) SET-ASIDE. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Central Iowa Health Care System, Des Moines, Iowa intends to issue an Invitation For Bid (IFB) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract to provide all tools, materials, equipment and labor necessary for completion of general construction project 636A8-CSI-001, "High End CT Site Pre Construction", at the Iowa City VA Health Care System, Iowa City, IA, in accordance with the drawings and specifications. This project will consist of but is not limited to renovation of approximately 880 square feet of space including CT/gantry room, storage room, control room, and equipment room. Work includes demolition, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, new casework and architectural finishes. Work is to be completed 120 days from the date of the 'Notice to Proceed.' Instructions for submitting a bid along with the specifications and drawings for the project will be available at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All respondents must be registered in the SAMs database (http://www.sam.gov) and complete online Representations and Certifications at (http://orca.bpn.gov), and must be current Vets 100 at (http://vets.dol.gov/vets100). Bidders must be registered and current in Vet Biz at (http://www.vetbiz.gov/). Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All parties must obtain amendments to the solicitation through this web site. Hard copies will not be mailed. Interested parties must go to the web site to be entered on the Interested Vendors List and/or to obtain copies of the Interested Vendors List. All questions must be submitted in writing to the issuing office via email to (cynthia.tabor@va.gov). Issue Date is tentatively scheduled for May 30, 2013. The Pre-bid meeting/Site-visit will be announced upon Solicitation issuance. Bid Opening Date is tentatively scheduled for July 1, 2013, at the Des Moines Iowa Central Iowa Health Care System, 3600 30th Street, Des Moines, IA, but exact date may vary depending on issuance of the solicitation. The applicable NAICS Code is 236220, with the applicable size standard being $33.5 million. Magnitude is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00.
