Description

This is a sources sought announcement only! This is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this announcement is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources such as service disabled veteran-owned business, veteran owned business, women-owned small business, 8(a), HubZone, small disadvantage, etc. relative to NAICS 624229, size standard $7.0M. Responses will be used to determine appropriate acquisition decisions. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Tuscaloosa VAMC, 3701 Loop Rd., Tuscaloosa, Al. 36104 is seeking sources for a potential contract to provide Halfway House Services for eligible veterans referred from the CAVHCS VA Medical Center. The contractor's facility must be within 15 miles of the Tuscaloosa VAMC. The contractor's facility must also be located within.50 miles from access to the Public Transit System. The intended contract is anticipated as a one base year of, with four (4) one year option period. Note that this requirement mandates that a contractor be able to pass inspection prior to proposal submission. Responses to this source sought must include: 1. Clarify if you provide Halfway House Services within parameters listed above. 2. Point of contact. 3. Company Name, 4. Address, 5. Telephone & Fax numbers, 6. Email address, and 7. Type of business such as service disabled veteran owned small business; veteran owned small business, women-owned small business, HubZone, 8(a), etc. Responses shall be faxed or emailed to the attention of Janice Ellison at Fax: 334-273-6245 or email at janice.ellison@va.gov. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Responses must be received no later than 12:00 PM CST, May 22, 2013. No solicitation is available at this time; this is to acquire information only. Responses to this request shall not be considered a request to be added to any mailing list or to receive a copy of a solicitation. Vendors interested in providing an offer will have to respond to a separate solicitation announcement that shall be published separately.
