- J&A Notice of Intent to Award a Sole-Source Contract Period of Performance for twelve (12) months with three twelve month options: This provides notification of McDonald Army Health Center, Fort Eustis, VA 23604 intent to award a sole-source contract to Hologic, Incorporated. The place of performance is Kenner Army Health Clinic, 700 24th Street, Bldg. 80130, Fort Lee, VA 23801. The current contract W91YTZ-09-P-081, ends 14 March 2013. The new period of performance is 15 May 2013 through 14 May 2014 (with three twelve-month options), and will be performed by the incumbent contractor, Hologic, Incorporated., 35 Crosby Dr., Bedford, MA 01730-1411. This contract provides for services and repairs to existing mammography equipment by Biomedical Equipment Repair Technicians who are trained to support this equipment and have access to proprietary software information. This equipment must pass stringent FDA certification to maintain compliance. The contract type is firm fixed price. This award of services period of performance for forty-eight months will be accomplished pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) quote mark Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements quote mark as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Not awarding this contract would cause serious injury to the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of the work required during the forty-eight month period would be advantageous to the Government. A determination not to compete this contract period is solely with the discretion of the Government.
