- Notice of Intent - Sole Source The 802d Contracting Squadron intends to award a sole-source firm fixed price Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to Sonitus Medical, 1825 South Grant, Suite 350, San Mateo, CA 94402 for the purchase of the SoundBite Hearing Prosthetic. This system is constructed for patients that have Single Sided Deafness (SSD) and consists of a conventional behind-the -ear (BTE) hearing aid that wirelessly connects to a second component worn in-the-mouth (ITM) that resembles a conventional dental appliance. Sonitus Medical is the proprietary owner and distributor of this system. The proposed contract action for products which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and FAR 13.106-1(b)(2). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is neither a request for competitive proposals nor solicitations for offers. However, all proposals received within 3 business days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely with in the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any interested party may inquire with the point of contacts.
