THE SUBMISSION OF THIS INFORMATION IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. IT IS NOT TO BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO PROCURE ANY SERVICES, NOR DOES THE MIDDLE EAST DISTRICT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION OR OTHERWISE PAY FOR THE INFORMATION SOLICITED. The United States Army Corps of Engineers, Middle East District (MED) is seeking preliminary market information from capable and reliable sources with experience in the Gulf Region (Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Oman) to gain knowledge of potential qualified business concerns capable of performing various construction projects in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Since all of the work will be performed outside of the continental U.S., no set asides or socioeconomic preference of any sort will be granted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. PROJECT INFORMATION: This requirement is for the design and construction of a Forward Support Unit (FSU)/Forward Logistics Site (FLS) facility and a two-story Headquarters (HQ) facility. The project requires the demolition of the existing port surface, placement of concrete pavement, gravel, sidewalks, perimeter fencing and site utilities. The FSU/FLS facility is comprised of a two-story office area of concrete construction and a high-bay warehouse. The Headquarters facility contains administrative offices and will be built of concrete. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Interested firms are invited to express their interest by providing the name of the firm, point of contact, mailing address, telephone number, e-mail address, and DUNS number to the below points of contact.
