- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE - Project 556-13-107: Repair/Replace Deteriorated Sidewalks and Exterior Stairwells/Replace Roads, Curbs, Gutters at the CAPT James A. Lovell FHCC. This construction project is set-aside for Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned-Small-Business (SDVOSBs). Contractor shall provide all tools, materials, components, labor and supervision for general construction and the complete preparation of the site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for Removal, Replacement of Roads, Curbs, Gutters, Sidewalks, and Building Entrances, as outlined in the contract specifications, and as shown on the contract drawings. Phasing the construction will be required to accommodate building occupants on weekdays, evenings, and weekends. The Work also requires protection of surrounding areas of the construction for occupant safety, infection control measures, and maintains unobstructed egress routes in addition to protecting the perimeter of the building. Work is to be completed within 240 calendar days of receipt of a Notice to Proceed. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to SDVOSB construction firms. The solicitation will be issued on/about June 3, 2013 with the bid opening on/about July 9, 2013. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOps which may be issued to this solicitation. There will be pre-construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation package. The project magnitude range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220; size standard $33.5 million applies. Note: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center has moved to new offices. Our new address is 115 South 84th Street, 1st Floor, Milwaukee WI 53214-1476.
