Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, VISN 2 Network Contracting Office (NCO), on behalf of Veterans Administration Medical Center Buffalo, is conducting market research through this sources sought notice to seek sources for name brand or equal to Medtronic Aquamantys Pump Generator (40-402-1) and Cart (30-401-1). The Aquamantys system and bipolar sealers feature Transcollation technology, a combination of radiofrequency energy (RF) and saline that provides hemostatic sealing of soft tissue and bone during surgery. Transcollation technology is particularly important in thoracic/lung surgery because: 1. It helps achieves hemostasis 2. Controls blood loss 3. Reduces transfusion 4. Decreases complications and reduces postoperative patient morbidity 5. Prevents bleeding at critical structures 6. Improves visibility in the surgical field 7. Decreases surgical time The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 423450, Size Standard: 100 Employees and the Classification code is 6515. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. This is a sources sought notice only. This is not a solicitation and does not obligate the Government to issue a solicitation.
