- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at https://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet. NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Request For Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-13-Q-1787. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-66. NAICS 334112, size standard is 1,000 employees. NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase the following items on a Sole Source, Firm Fixed Type Contract: CLIN 0001: P/N 73032-01 Germane Carrier Combo SSD, 2.5IN, 32GB, SATA10000, 33 Each. CLIN 0002: P/N 73035-01 Germane Carrier Combo HDD, 3.5IN, 2TB, SATA, 5 Each. CLIN 0003: P/N 72469-01 Germane Carrier Combo HDD, 2.5IN Standard, 500GB, 7.2K, RPM, SATA, 14 Each. CLIN 0004: P/N 73031-01, Germane Carrier Combo HDD, 2.5IN, 600GB, 10K RPM, SAS, 13 Each. Required delivery on CLIN 0001 is 65 days after award and 45 days after award for CLIN 0002-0004, F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI. It is expected to place a purchase order with Germane Systems LC, 3680 Centerview Dr., Chantilly, VA. They are the only known source for these items because Germane Systems LC is the manufacturer of the tactical storage media which must be identical to the tactical storage media currently used aboard United States submarines and must specifically meet the requirements of the AN/BYG-1, Combat Control System. In addition, Germane System LC, is the only source that can provide the end of life (EOL) components that are incorporated into the tactical storage devices. All other timely offers will be considered. Offers for other products must contain complete product information and prices. FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items applies. Evaluation will be in accordance with FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation--Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items, and DFARS 52.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items apply.
