FBO NOTICE VA259-13-I-0648 TYPE: Sources Sought NAICS:423450 PSC:6640 This is a Sources Sought Notice for the purpose of market research only. This notice is not a solicitation. Responses to this notice will not be evaluated for award. Responses will only be utilized to survey the marketplace and determine the availability of this service. The Salt Lake City VA Medical Center is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement for osmometer supplies and parts. The contractor will supply genuine OEM parts and supplies for an Advanced Instruments Model A2O Automated Osmometer Analyzer as follows: -Item # 200221: Probe Wiper Rings; 50/box; 12 boxes per year -Item # 200222: A2O System Fluid; 500ml/bottle; 30 bottles per year -Item # 200223: Plastic Sample Tubes; 500/box; 36 boxes per year This procurement is for new Equipment ONLY; no remanufactured or "gray market" items. All Equipment must be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. The manufacturer's specifications sheet is attached to this Request for Information. The requirement is for a base year with 4 option years dependent upon contractor performance. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. The request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. The government will evaluate market information to ascertain the potential market capacity. If your organization has the potential capacity to perform these contract services, please provide the following information: organization name, address, email address, Web site address, telephone number, and size and type of ownership for the organization. Please provide documentation of the size of your business. If you are classified as a small business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone small business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Woman-Owned Small Business and/or SBA 8(a) certified small business, please provide a capability statement in addition to the other information for acquisition strategy determination. BASED ON THE RESPONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/MARKET RESEARCH, THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES OR PROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluations will be provided to companies regarding their submissions. Submission Instructions: Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to perform the above-listed services are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought Notice by May 29, 2013, at 5:00 PM MST.
