- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, NCIRD, 1600 Clifton Rd. NE, Mailstop A19, Atlanta, GA, 30333, hereby announces its intent to issue a sole source contract to SAP Government Support and Services Inc D.B.A.: SAP National Security Services 6903 Rockledge Drive, 10th Floor, Bethsaida, MD 20817 to provide Vaccine Tracking System (VTrckS) Optimization Assessment. Posting Date: 05/20/2013 Closing Response Date: 11:59 pm EST on 06/04/2013 NAICS Code: 541519 Period of Performance: 07/12/2013 to 09/06/2013 Solicitation Number: 2013-Q-15443 Contract Line Item Number: 0001 Contract Place of Performance: 1600 Clifton Road NE, Building 24 Atlanta, GA 30329 The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) as cited in FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). Determining how to optimize VTrckS is important as the system is further deployed to states. The optimization validation and identified strategy will prevent negative impacts to the VTrckS Project as the system is rolled out to high volume grantees and their health care providers, which are slated to begin deployment in March 2013. The optimization strategy will also provide mitigation solutions to address challenges involving slowness of some of the system components that were surfaced during previous deployment efforts and will ultimately help to ensure the VTrckS investment meets the business needs of the Federal Government. Because of their in depth historical knowledge of the system and time constraints, SAP National Security Services is positioned to be the contractor that can quickly conduct the assessment and provide CDC the needed findings in the required time frame. Responsible sources that believe they possess the expertise and capabilities identified above are encouraged to submit to the Contracting Officer within 15 days from the posting date of this notice, their written capabilities statement, proposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency for future procurement. Please forward the capability statement and/or pricing information to Michael Harwell, Contracting Specialist, Reference 2013-Q-15443, Centers for Disease Control, Procurement and Grants Office, ATTN: Michael Harwell, MS: K14, 2920 Brandywine Road, Atlanta, GA 30341. All vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to an award of a federal contract. The website is: www.sam.gov. This is a posting of a sole source award to Applied Biosystems and is not a request for competition. PGO POC: Michael Harwell wyu4@cdc.gov 770-488-3224
