This is a Sources Sought notice for information only. This is not a solicitation for proposals and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. In preparation for future procurement, the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas is performing market research to gain knowledge of potential sources and their size classification (service disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, hub zone, 8(a), small disadvantage business, woman-owned small business, small business, or large business) relative to NACIS 423450 that can offer the equipment listed below. Item Name: LenSx Laser System Manufacturer: Alcon Laboratories "Brand name or Equal" Item Name: LenSx UPS 120V Manufacturer: Alcon Laboratories "Brand Name or Equal" If proposing an equal item, the items must meet the below salient features and characteristics. LenSx ® Laser System Specifications & Sole Source Requirements: "The Femtosecond Laser should have 510K clearance for single plane, multi plane and Arcuate Incisions in the cornea, capsulorhexis and lens fragmentation at the time of cataract surgery.
