Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number 13-4389-04 is issued as a request for quotations and incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through FAC 2005-64. The NAICS code applicable to this acquisition is 238350. The small business size standard is 14.0 million. This procurement is set aside for small business. All bidders must visit the site and acquaint themselves with the condition of the warehouse, dimensions, and site conditions prior to submitting a bid. The contact on site will be Mr. Tom Maze at 229-386-3496. Failure to visit the site prior to bidding will be grounds for rejection of bids. Failure to become acquainted with the site will not relieve bidders from full responsibility for a complete job as specified. Statement of work for Renovation of Machine Shop. Bldg 16 USDA/ARS Tifton Georgia A. GENERAL 1.Remove large doors and install roll up door. 2.Install Exterior doors and interior doors. 3. Build field lab with storage above. 4.Install hoods with exhaust fans. 5.Install stair case to storage area. 6. Prep floors for epoxy coating. 7.Self leveling two component epoxy with color quartz. 8.Install 200 AMP Breaker Box with cooper wire and full box of breakers 9 Install heat pump. 10. Install railing system for Stairs and mezzanine B. SCOPE OF WORK •1. Build wall out of 2x6 with 5/8 inch sheetrock between work space and office. •2. Install metal or wood I Beams to support 2 nd Floor. •3. All walls in work space to be finished to ceiling and insulated. •4. Floor decking in storage space above office is to be 5/8 in Advantech plywood unfinished. •5. All decking to be glued and screwed. •6. All Walls in Office to have sheetrock finished walls. •7. Remove large double door to exterior and build a finished wall for roll up door. •8. Exterior side of wall to be covered with vinyl siding to match existing siding. •9. Install 36" door to exterior near roll up door. •10. Install 10'x 10' coil roll up door. •11. Install 4 new t8 lights in lab 4 foot in length. •12. Install 3 new t8 lights in open work space 8 foot in length •13. Install gravity louver 32" vent above exterior 36 inch door to allow air flow in open space. •14. Install three Stainless Steel hood vents, 1 Ft x 4 Ft •15. Install 3hp dust minimum 220v single phase with min 3000 cfm, blower 1 concocted to vents in lab other to vent in shop. •16. Install 2-6 ft commercial grade double doors going into office space. •17. All doors to have lever knobs. •18. Exterior door to have electronic key pad installed by Tri State Lock 229-382-1317 to match existing locks. •19. Exterior door to be all metal. •20. Install door at foot of steps going into main building size to be determined by builder and approved by USDA. •21 Floor to be shot blasted and acid etched before coating with epoxy. 22 Paint 1 ct. ArmorSeal 33 Epoxy Primer/Sealer Clear, broadcast to excess with color quartz (color picked by owner), 1 ct. ArmorSeal 33 Epoxy Primer/Sealer Clear, broadcast to excess with color quartz (same color). 2 coats ArmorSeal 650 SURC Clear •23 All trash and debris are to be disposed of in an appropriate land fill approved by the state. •24 Install hand rails on mezzanine and stairs, stairs to be minimum 48" wide. •25 Railing on mezzanine to be designed to allow loading and unloading of pallets, opening minimum opening 3'6 inches, gate to be removal not swing. •26 Alarm system and fire alarm system will need to be modified and is under warranty by Action Alarms 229-244-7495. Action Alarms has a price to upgrade system. No work to be done by anyone other than Action Alarm unless approved by USDA in work area on alarm system. 27. Ceiling in lab to be finished sheetrock attached to joist and all ac duct work to include wiring to be between joist. 28. Install 4 wiremold 5 ft metal 10 outlet strips on wall in lab above counter's that will be installed by USDA, location to be determined by USDA for strips. 29 Install 4-4 plug 110V outlets on load bearing wall in Lab between lab and open bay. Location to be determined by USDA. Each to be on a separate breaker. 30 Install 4-4 plug 110 V outlets in bay, Location to be determined by USDA. Each to be on a separate breaker. 31 Install a 4 TON Heat Pump 32 Install new outlets in storage space C. CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBILITIES •1. Installer shall be licensed to do business in the state of Georgia. •2. Contractor shall be responsible for providing all material and labor to complete all work in accordance with the statement of work. •3. Contractor shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) ( www.sam.gov ) •4. Contractor shall provide proof of workman's compensation and General Liability Insurance of at lease $1 million. •5. Contractor shall leave the job site in same or better condition it was in when job was started. All Trash, debris and excess material shall be disposed of upon job completion. Estimated job is between $80,000 and $125,000. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of any standard commercial warranty normally offered in a similar commercial sale, provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government. Acceptance of the standard commercial warranty does not waive the Government's rights under the Inspection clause nor does it limit the Governments' rights with regard to the other terms and conditions of this contract. In the event of a conflict, the terms and conditions of the contract shall take precedence over the standard commercial warranty. The contractor shall provide a copy of its standard commercial warranty (if applicable) with its response.
