Description
NAICS: 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance This announcement is a Sources Sought Notice/Request for Information (RFI) Synopsis and is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract. The following information is provided to assist the Air Force in conducting market research of industry to identify sources that meet Air Force requirements. There will be no reimbursement for the any information provided to the Air Force. Responses to this Sources Sought announcement are voluntary, and therefore, the U.S. Government is not liable to pay or reimburse any contractors which respond to this announcement. Any costs incurred by interested companies in response to this announcement are solely the responsibility of the responder. The Government does NOT intend to contract on the basis of this request or otherwise pay for any information solicited herein and the Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any contractor's input resulting from this RFI. The Air Force is issuing this repair sources sought announcement as part of a market research survey to determine if additional sources exist that could become qualified for remanufacture F-16 Expanded Computer Interface Unit (XCIU) and Stores Management System Stores Control Panel (SCP) and its components. The specific parts involved are as follows: FSC NIIN MMAC Part # 1290 01-224-8924 WF 16E10180-5 6610 01-340-6317 WF 16E10180-801 6610 01-121-6879 WF 16E1201-853 The government does not own any repair manuals or detailed parts lists for the XCIU and SCP. Additionally, the government does not have any special test equipment available for repair of the XCIU and SCP. Therefore, the respondent would need to be able to demonstrate the ability to obtain or create those resources necessary to perform trouble shooting, repair and testing of the XCIU and SCP in a timely fashion. If the offerer is able to develop or obtain the data, manuals, and tech orders from another party, they must be able to demonstrate that they have access to such resources and the legal right to use said resources to repair assets for the government. Interested organizations who feel they possess the necessary capabilities should respond by providing the Government the following information: a point of contact, address, telephone, and fax numbers, email address, duns number, cage code, and/or tax ID number, as well as size category, (large, small, small disadvantaged, etc) a brief summary of the companies capabilities, description of facilities, personnel, related manufacturing experience, and existing safety approvals (refer to the white paper listed above). Provide any supporting information such as commercial literature, catalogues, manuals, etc. If a respondent chooses to utilize the services of sub-tier vendors or subcontractors, those vendors or subcontractors must meet the criteria specified herein as well. Responses to this Notice are due on or before. All information marked as proprietary information will be safeguarded to prevent disclosures to nongovernment personnel and entities. Parties interested in remanufacture of the XCIU and SCP will be required to become a qualified source.
