Description

The Army Contracting Command-Rock Island (ACC-RI), McAlester Contracting Office is issuing this Sources Sought Notice to identify sources to produce an initial quantity of 105 warhead cases with the possibility of a total of 500 cases. The case will be used to load the Hawk warhead, and is a composite case made of fiberite material with dimensions of 13.38 inches max diameter, 15.85 inches max length, with a safe and arming device chamber. The case is made up of two parts joined together with fragmentation applied to the exterior of the case. Interested sources should submit a summary that includes a brief description of their capabilities to include: description of facilities, personnel, manufacturing capabilities and how they directly relate to production of warhead cases, and if they have made this item or similar items in the past. There is NO technical data package for this announcement; however, one will be available IF a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) is released at a later date. All sources interested in any future solicitation must be registered in the System For Award Management (SAM) Database, https://www.sam.gov This notice is being released for planning purposes only. It does NOT constitute a Request for Proposal and IS NOT to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government DOES NOT intend to award a contract based on this notice or otherwise pay respondents for information submitted. All information submitted is protected as confidential. Responses to this notice shall be submitted electronically within 15 calendar days from the date of this publication.
