Description
The following is provided for planning purposes for the upcoming Industry Day on Thursday May 30th, 2013. Revised Agenda/Schedule 0830 Registration 0900 - 1100 Welcome and Industry Day Kickoff Overview briefing of PDR program and potential CLS/sustainment contract General Questions and Answers/Wrap-up 1100 - Lunch One on One Sessions 1200 - Slot #1 1300 - Slot #2 1400 - Slot #3 Questions for industry to address during one on one sessions: 1) Please provide a brief overview of relevant experience you have with Weather Radars or similar programs that you feel makes you qualified to perform the duties required by the PWS. 2) The government does not own unlimited data rights, to include source code or detailed interface control documents, for the AN/TMS-2. How do you propose to maintain both the system software and hardware? 3) Some of the component parts are custom to/modified by the current vendor, how do you plan to maintain the hardware? 4) How do you plan to address proprietary limitations with the OEMs? How would you address an OEM refusing to work with your company? 5) Given hardware and software limitations, how do you plan to obtain and/or maintain Information Assurance (IA) certification? What specific experiences do you have in doing IA work for the Department of Defense (DOD)? 6) Do you have a Quality Assurance Program? If so how do you monitor and ensure compliance with it? For example, how do you verify a repaired system is Fully Mission Capable (FMC) prior to returning to the field? 7) Please describe your approach for sparing given the Mean Time to Repair(MTTR) requirement in the PWS and an Operational Availability rate to be determined? 8) How do you plan to maintain/update the current commercial user manuals modified for government use and approval in accordance with MIL-PRF 32216B? 9) Are there any provisions in the PWS that you have concerns with?
