- A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are a reasonable number of interested small business concerns to set this future project aside for them. If your firm is a Small Business, certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business and you are interested in this project please respond appropriately. The proposed project is for a comprehensive 97,000 square foot interior renovation which includes replacement of HVAC, power, lighting, plumbing, telecommunication, fire protection suppression, and architectural systems in an occupied building. Replace interior partitions, finishes, doors, frames, and the elevator. Exterior renovation includes replacement of the roof, replacement of entrances, new windows, new doors, repair of exterior stairs, and restoring the exterior wall surface. Contract duration is estimated at 420 days. The estimated cost range is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. NAICS is 236220. All interested Small Businesses, certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractors should respond to this survey by email NLT 04 June 2013 by 11:00 AM Eastern Time. Responses should include: (1) Identification and verification of the company's small business status. (2) The level of performance and payment bonding capacity that the company could attain for the proposed project. (3) Descriptions of Experience - a. Projects similar in scope to this project include: Major renovations involving replacement of HVAC, power, lighting, plumbing, telecommunication, fire protection suppression, architectural, and roof systems. Renovation of historic buildings both interior and exterior. b. Projects similar in size to this project include: Minimum 70,000 Square feet in size. c. Projects similar in dollar value to this project include: $9,000,000 Based on the definitions above, for each project submitted, include: a. Identify who was the Prime Contractor b. Identify if the scope included major renovations involving replacement of HVAC, plumbing, telecommunication and architectural systems, renovations of historic buildings both interior and exterior. c. Identify the percentage of self performed direct contract labor excluding other general condition or field overhead personnel, material, equipment, or subcontractors. d. Current percentage of construction complete and the date when it was or will be completed. e. Size of the project. f. Dollar value of the project. (4) A statement of the portion of the work that will be self performed on this project, and how it will be accomplished.
