Description

This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought notice for the Department of Veterans Affairs VISN 7 Network Contracting Activity. The following information is provided to assist the Department of Veteran Affairs in conducting Market Research of Industry to identify potential Service Disabled Veterans Owned Small Business, Veterans Owned Small Business, Hub-zone, 8(a), small, small disadvantage, woman-owned small business, or large contractors to provide medical cylinder gases to the VA Medical Center throughout Veteran Integrated Service Network (VISN) 7. The gases to be purchased include, but are not limted to compressed Medical Air USP, Oxygen USP, Carbon Dioxide USP, Nitrogen NF, Nitrous Oxide USP, Helium USP, and specialty gas mixtures. The vendor will fill and deliver Government owned cylinders. Vendors will be required comply with FDA regulations, Department of Transportation regulations, and CGA Safety Bulletin standards and guides. The applicable NAICS code is 325120. Your response must be emailed to Kim.Shelton@va.gov no later than 3:00 p.m. 28 May 2013. Your response should include both the STATEMENT of CAPABILITY and BUSINESS SIZE and SOCIO-ECONOMIC STATUS information as explained below. Please place "Attn: Medical Gas Cylinder" in the subject line of your email. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately form the response to this announcement. REQUESTED INFORMATION: (1) Statement of Capability: Submit a brief description (three (3) pages or less) that show your company can provide the equipment/system. Include past experience in performing this services/providing the equipment of the VA, other Government (Federal or State) agency, or for a private medical facility. Please specify your availability to start date. (2) Business Size and Socio-Economics Status: (a) Indicate whether your business is large or small (b) If small, indicate if your firm qualifies as small, emerging business, or small disadvantaged business (c) If disadvantaged, specify which disadvanted group and if your firm is certified under 8(a) of the Small Business Act (d) Indicate if your firm is certified Hub-zone firm(e) Indicate if your firm is a woman-owned or operated business (f) Indicate if your firm is a certified Service Disabled Veterans Owned Small Business(SDVOB) or Veterans Owned Small Business (VOSB) (g) Include the Duns number of your firm (h) State whether your firm is registered in SAM(System for Award Management) at https:www.sam.gov/portal/Sam and/or the VetBiz Registry at http://vip.vetbiz.gov/. If not, please NOTE: any solicitation could only be awarded to a contractor who is registered in SAM and to received award based on VOSB and SDVOSB status you must register in the VetBiz Registry. The Government does not intend to make an award on the basis of this Sources Sought notice or otherwise pay for the information solicited herein. This notice is for the purpose of identifying potential sources and does not commit the government to make an award and/or issue a solicitation.
