- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION Insurance Imaging System 1. PURPOSE: THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This request is for planning purposes only, and does not constitute a Request for Proposal, Solicitation, a Request for Quote, or an indication that the Government will award a contract for the items contained in this RFI. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract, nor does the Government reimburse respondents for any costs associated with submission of the information being requested, or reimburse expenses incurred for responses to this RFI. Companies are encouraged to respond if they have the capability or capacity to provide the items and services identified below. In addition, respondents are requested to indicate if the draft PWS is sufficient to perform the requirement. 2. ANTICIPATED SCOPE OF WORK: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Technology Acquisition Center (TAC) is seeking sources capable of an Appointment Scheduling Software tool. The Contractor shall test and provide documentation for the tool. The period of performance shall for 12 months from date of award. See attached draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) for additional information and anticipated requirements. 3. SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS: Respondents should identity their company name, address, CAGE Code, DUNS number, email, telephone number, and a name and telephone number of a point of contact having the authority and the knowledge to clarify responses with government representatives. It is requested that all companies interested in participating in this effort please note their interest to be a prime contractor or subcontractor, and provide indication of their respective capabilities to perform the effort described in the attached PWS. Also include a brief explanation of your approach/capability to complete the effort, as well as a rough order of magnitude for the effort to be completed using this approach. Additionally, respondents are requested to provide feedback and comments on the draft PWS. Please identify areas of uncertainty in the products and/or services required. Submissions are due NO LATER THAN May 31, 2013 at 3:00 PM EST to Brian Klug, Contract Specialist, Brian.Klug@va.gov.
