Description
The answers below are provided in response to questions received in regard to Request for Information “ N6247013RFI04. All answers provided are subject to change as more information becomes apparent in the market research/acquisition planning phase. 1. Environmental issues “ are there any on the capped landfill and fuel farm sites? The landfill is a sanitary landfill. Limited excavation is permitted. No hazardous waste is present. The gas tank site is clean and cleared. Cut and fill for terracing is expected to be needed to maximize use of the site. 2. Solar sites identified on the map you provided “ are they hilly, flat and easily accessible for material deliveries? The landfill site is generally flat. The gas tank site is on the side of a slope. 3. Local labor “ are they permitted to work on the base should there be subcontracting needs? There are local US contractors present that are technically available for subcontracting. Potential for more MILCON projects could impact the availability of local labor force. 4. Security clearances “ will contractor be required to have a security level to work on the base? A base clearance is required for anyone setting foot on base. An actual security clearance (e.g., Classified, Top Secret) is not required. 5. Housing “ will that be provided by NAVFAC or will we have to secure that on our own? Housing for contractors is extremely limited and current contractors on-site have been required to provide their own œman-camps. The situation could change.
