Navigation Demo •2.7 NV-5 STAED Radar Demo •2.8 NV-8 STAED Navigation Control Demo •2.9 NV-9 STAED Gyro Demo •3.0 ITEM LOCATION/DESCRIPTION: •3.1 Locations: •3.1.1 Wheel House •3.1.2 Various •3.2 Quantity: •3.2.1 Various •4.0 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIAL/EQUIPMENT/SERVICE: NONE •5.0 NOTES: •5.1 Contact James Phillips (primary) 757-443-2924 or Johnathan Overton (secondary) 757-443-5803, for details and requirements concerning access to an MSC vessel. •5.2 Contractor is required to submit personnel on the EPIC spreadsheet. To gain access to MSC vessel's on the East Coast, contractors must submit an EPIC request to MSFSC(underscore)EPIC(underscore)EAST(at)navy(dot)mil MSFSC_EPIC_EAST@navy.mil. •5.3 Contractors, shall allow 3 business days (5 for NASSCO, OCONUS, & Earl NJ) for processing of all requests. EPIC will take up to 48 hrs to process, the request must be approved by EPIC before access can be sent to the facility for approval, access will not be guaranteed without approval from EPIC. •5.4 The contractor and all subcontractors, regardless of tier must consult the General Technical Requirements (GTR) to determine applicability to this work item. In performance of this work item, the contractor and all subcontractors regardless of tier must comply with the requirements of all applicable GTR's including but not limited to GTR's 1 through 7, 22, 23, 26, 28 and 29. •5.5 Performance Period: •5.5.1 June 3 - June 9, FCT Prep. (7 days) •5.5.2 June 10 - June 14, FCT Week, Incl. Sea Trial 1 day. (5 days) •5.6 Location of Work: •5.6.1 JEBLC, Norfolk, VA. •5.7 Port Engineer: •5.7.1 Robert Palandro Office: 757-443-0927 Cell: 757-777-2810 Email: Robert.palandro@navy.mil •6.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE REQUIREMENTS: NONE •7.0 STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIRED: •7.1 Provide the service of one (1) Northrup Grumman OEM rep for the performance period stated in 5.5. The OEM shall be a Sr. Service Tech Rep Experienced with ABS High Speed Craft Navigational Aids Acceptance Trial requirements and the JHSV Class. All work shall be performed by an authorized Service Representative. •7.2 Equipment that shall be inspected, operational condition tested and presented to INSURV inspectors shall include items include but not be limited to Item 2 References and below: •7.2.1 NAVIGATION SYSTEM •7.2.1.1 Voyage Management System, ECDIS-C •7.2.1.2 Radar ARPA Display and System •7.2.1.3 AIS System •7.2.1.4 Moriah Wind System •7.2.1.5 Speed, Depth, Heading, GPS Systems •7.2.2 SOLAS EQUIPMENT •7.2.2.1 GMDSS Equipment including backup battery •7.2.2.2 EPIRBS (2 EA) & Lanyards •7.2.2.3 SARTS •7.2.2.4 IAD •7.2.2.5 MF/HF radiotelephone and TELEX •7.2.2.6 VHF •7.2.2.7 NAVTEX •7.2.2.8 SARTS (2 EA) •7.2.3 VOYAGE DATA RECORDER SYSTEM •7.2.3.1 Sensor Interface Unit •7.2.3.2 Bridge Alarm Unit •7.2.3.3 Protected Data Capsule •7.2.3.4 DAU •7.2.3.5 Microphones •7.3 OEM Reps shall travel to ship location for the Performance Periods specified. •7.4 OEM will provide support for the ship's crew during pre underway and underway testing for Final Contract Trials. Support will include oversight and testing of equipment required to demonstrate to NAVY INSURV Board safe operation of equipment. •7.5 OEM will provide operational assistance during underway period. Vessel will return to JEBLC, Norfolk after underway period. There will be no overnight underway period. There will be only one day of underway testing. •7.6 OEM will help expedite any emergent material needs to support scheduled underway operations. •7.7 OEM will perform an open and inspect phase of contract trial which will commence after the underway period. •7.8 OEM will provide other necessary services related to operation and troubleshooting during Final Contract Trials. •7.9 Contractor shall use References 2.0 and 7.2 as guidance. •7.10 Contractor shall furnish tools and test equipment.
