- This is published as sole source announcement under the statutory authority at 10 USC2304(c) (1), and regulatory authority at FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) Tobyhanna Division-Contract Operations Branch, Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD), Tobyhanna, PA 18466 intends to negotiate and award a contract on a sole source basis to Lockheed Martin Corporation), 497 Electronics Parkway, Building 5, Liverpool, New York 13088-6062. The proposed contract is for various manufactured components for TYAD to build two (2) each for United States Marine Corps (USMC) of the AN/TPS-59 Radar Set. The AN/TPS-59 Radar set is a 3-D, solid-state long range air defense surveillance system used by the United States Marine Corps (USMC) and our allies around the world for 30 years to provide long-range detection of aircraft and ballistic missiles. Tobyhanna Army Depot will use the manufactured parts to fabricate two (2) complete AN/TPS-59 Radar Sets for the USMC. A complete list of the required items by part number, Federal Supply Class, National Item Identification Number and nomenclature is an attachment to this notice. Representative nomenclatures from this list are: Row Transmitter, Monitor Feed, IFF Antenna, Exciter AMP, Aux Antenna, Phase Shifter, Limiter Assembly, and Delay Line. Lockheed Martin is the only known supplier with the established proprietary manufacturing procedures, test assets, test procedures and test program sets to enable delivery of the required items within their operational performance specification limits. Required delivery is XXX-XXX days from date of award as set forth in the attachment to this notice. Any responsible firms believing that they possess the ability to provide the items identified in this notice, contact the Contract Specialist identified below, within fifteen (15) days of this notice, and submit a capability statement which will be reviewed for consideration. Solicitation W25G1V-13-R-0019 will be issued on or about June 10, 2013. The NAICS code is 334511and the size standard is 750.
