- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE, NOT A REQUEST FOR A PROPOSAL. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 9 (NCO 9), located at 1639 Medical Center Parkway, Suite 400, Murfreesboro, TN, 37129, intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a noncompetitive basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements quote to Brymak & Associates, 6850 John Rivers Road, Hopkinsville, KY 42240 to provide supplies and services to complete a triennial inspection, testing, and maintenance of all electrical switchgear equipment as required by VHA Directive 2006-056. In addition, an ARC Flash Analysis with ARC Flash Labeling as required by the NFPA, located at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Cooper Division, 1101 Veterans Drive, Lexington, KY 40502-2238. BryMak & Associates, Inc. is to perform and update the electrical distribution systems protection devices and adjust all devices in accordance with their revised electrical Coordination, Short Circuit and ARC Flash studies. All devices will have the new settings adjusted in accordance with the studies to incorporate the recent renovations and electrical system changes. All devices shall have printed labels installed in accordance with the recent OSHA and NFPA ARC flash regulations. In addition to saving the cost of the additional, time consuming data acquisition, the hospital is eliminating the exposure, of the VAMC and contractor personnel, to the electrical hazards when removing panels on high voltage equipment, and opening switchgear compartments. They are also eliminating electrical power interruptions to the hospital daily operations, caused by power outages that would be necessary to acquire the correct information needed to perform the studies. This is a Notice of Intent not a request for proposals. Information received from interested parties will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
