Description

Special Notice in MS Word format. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source Firm Fixed-Price Contract. The Food and Drug Administration's Office of Acquisition and Grant Services intends to issue a sole source award to Smiths Detection. Dual-Mode Ion Mobility Benchtop Spectrometers, Service Maintenance Agreement Base Year, and one (1) Option Year. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The proposed action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. The estimated dollar value for this action is not to exceed $200,000. This will result in a contract for a base year with one option year. The projected award date is June 21, 2013. Interested parties may submit a capability statement by June 13, 2013, 4:30 p.m. EST for considerations by the agency. Responses must be sent to Juana Quinteros via email at juana.quinteros@fda.hhs.gov. All correspondence must reference FDA-RFQ-1114993.
