Description: The United States Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense (USAMRICD) is in need of on-site installation, set up and operational training on new software, Buxco Finepoint (Brand Name or Equal). The following are the Minimal Essential Characteristics of this software. PWS US ARMY MEDICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF CHEMICAL DEFENSE (USAMRICD) SUBJECT: PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT (PWS) FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES: BUXCO SYSTEM INSTALLATION/UPGRADE (BRAND NAME OR EQUAL) 1.SCOPE OF WORK: The technician will install Buxco's FinePointe, or equal software, able to integrate with existing Buxco, plethysmography systems, and train laboratory personnel on operation of the system. 2.PURPOSE: To provide on-site installation, set up and operational training on new software, Buxco FinePointe (Brand name or Equal). The technician will make sure that USAMRICD personnel are fully knowledgeable of the operation of the software, how to trouble shoot issues, and ensure that the system is working as designed. 3.STAFFING QUALIFICATIONS: The instructor will fit qualifications established by employer, Buxco (or Equal). 4.SPECIFIC TASKS: Install software, integrate existing equipment, and present training to lab personnel who require training on the use of software. Start up and operational training on FinePointe (Brand Name or Equal SW) including: Basic operation Troubleshooting Data Analysis 1 day, 8 hours Check to verify that the system is working as designed: Set up protocol Collect Data Save Data Export Data 5.SECURITY REQUIREMENTS: None. Will have no security clearance requirements, but will require escort. 6.PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Total duration 1 day (8 hours) 7.PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: All training will take place in a laboratory at a US Government Facility, US Department of Army, Aberdeen Proving Ground-Edgewood Area, MD, USAMRICD. 8.TIME OF PERFORMANCE One day 9.DELIVERABLES: FinePointe Software (Brand Name or Equal) that works as described by vendor. Provide end-user training for the software, and provide software support. 10. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY: None MIN. ESSENTIAL CHARACTERISTICS The United States Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense (USAMRICD) is in need of on-site installation, set up and operational training on new software, Buxco Finepoint (Brand Name or Equal). The following are the Minimal Essential Characteristics of this software. Software that submitted as quote mark equal quote mark to the FinePointe software must be able to function with existing whole body plethysmographs and nose-only plethysmographs Will work with the Army Windows 7 image. Must be compatible with quote mark Finepointe Station quote mark system as this purchase is for an additional seat license. Must be able to integrate with existing software and server Must be compatible with pre-amps. oThe part numbers for the existing preamplifiers are quote mark MAXII quote mark, quote mark MAX1500 quote mark, and quote mark FinePointe quote mark Hardware. There are several plethysmograph compatible parts consist of the following: oPLY4211 (Mouse Whole Body Plethysmograph [WBP]); oPLY4213 (Rat WBP), oPLY3033 (Rat Nose only plethysmograph) oPLY4031 (Mouse Nose only plethysmograph) Must continuously monitor respiratory parameters (from Buxco nose-only inhalation tubes) to include: oBreath frequency oTidal volume oTotal volume breathed o Minute ventilation o Inspiratory time o Expiratory time o Peak inspiratory flow o Peak expiratory flow o End inspiratory pause (time of brake) o End expiratory pause (time of pause) o Relaxation time o Expiratory flow at 50% volume (EF50) Must have built in reporting, including dose response reporting and ANOVA statistics Must be able to record and collect data from up to 12 subjects simultaneously Must support mice, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets, dogs, cats, and monkeys System must operate in a server/client capacity where data is centrally managed and can be accessed from anywhere on the network.
