- DD 254 Request for Information for AAV Force Protection Improvements This is a Request for Information that seeks information from potential interested sources that can provide force protection improvements for the Legacy Assault Amphibious Vehicle (AAV) personnel variant. This is NOT a Request For Proposal (RFP) and no RFP is available at this time. Purpose and Objectives: The United States Marine Corps Program Manager, Advanced Amphibious Assault (PM AAA) is seeking information from potential responsible sources that can provide force protection improvements for the personnel variant of the legacy Assault Amphibious Vehicle (AAV). The Government anticipates releasing a full and open Request for Proposal (RFP) during the 4th quarter FY13 with a 60 day proposal response time. The RFP is expected to include a six (6) month (approximately) Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract for design with options for prototyping and low rate initial production. Documentation for this RFI includes Classified information. As such, a draft Statement of Work (SOW), draft Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and draft System Specification (SPEC) will be made available only to accepted vendors. Requests for documentation shall be in compliance with the attached DD 254 and received no later than 1400 Hours, local time, on 31 May 2013 to Stacey R. Coolican at stacey.coolican@usmc.mil. Phone calls will not be accepted. Information Sought: Interested vendors are encouraged to submit comments concerning the draft documents. Requests for documentation shall include the following information: (1) Company Name, address, telephone number, email address and point of contact (2) CAGE Code (3) Facility Security Officer name, telephone number and email address (4) Company Size, NAICS business classification and Small Business Administration business classification [e.g. HUB Zone, small, small disadvantaged small woman-owned, large business] (5) Key information on your company's management, technical capabilities, staffing capabilities, and facilities to meet the force protection improvement services Responses are requested to be received via email, no later than 1400 Hours, local time, on 17 June 2013 to the Contracting Officer, Stacey R. Coolican at stacey.coolican@usmc.mil. NOTE: This Request for Information is for planning purposes only and is issued in accordance with FAR Clause 52.215-3. No solicitation document exists at this time. Issuance of this Notice does not constitute any obligation on the part of the Government to procure these items or to issue a solicitation. Additionally, the Government is under no obligation to pay for information submitted in response to this RFI, and responses to this notice will not be accepted as offers. Any information the vendor considers proprietary shall be clearly marked.
