Description

Synopsis Solicitation - sole source The Acquisitions Division, Naval Hospital Bremerton, Bremerton, WA, 98312 is announcing its intent to award a Firm Fixed Price contract on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) for Aptima Combo 2 Kits, Auto Detect Reagents, and Pipette Tips for an existing Gen-Probe Aptima System. The award will be made to Gen-Probe Incorporated; 10210 Genetic Center Dr; San Diego, CA 92121. The sole source justification is based on Gen-Probe Aptima systems parts and accessories are not interchangeable with any other system making them the only source capable of providing the parts needed for this acquisition. The NAICS code of this procurement is 325413 and the size standard is 500 employees. This notice is neither a request for quotes nor a solicitation of offers; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quote, which shall be considered by the agency; please have materials in by 5:00pm Pacific time on 11 June 2013.
