Description

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY. THIS ACTION IS SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS. IT IS ANTICIPATED THAT THE SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED VIA FEDBIZOPS ON OR ABOUT JUNE 12, 2013. The work consists of the design and construction of a new stand alone fabric covered hangar to be located next to the existing hangar at Cecil Field, Jacksonville Naval Air Station, 13365 Aeronautical Circle, Jacksonville, Florida. This requirement is be evaluated as a Low Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) and will include 4 evaluation factors. The first evaluation factor is a GO/NO-GO factor in that either the prime contractor or his subcontractor must demonstrate actual experience in fabric structure installation/construction. In addition, this requirement calls for the existing utilities and air compressor be extended to the new fabric hangar via underground conduit and the new structure will include lightening protection. The new structure must also comply with the Duval County windloading requirements.
