Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Nashville VA Medical Center, 1310 24th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37212 is preparing to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a two-phase design-build contract to provide design and construction services to "Renovate Autopsy Suite" in accordance with VA Design and Space Planning Criteria and VA Master Specifications at the Nashville VA Medical Centers. SET-ASIDE: 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) NAICS: 236220 Commercial and Industrial Building Construction SMALL BUSINESS SIZE STANDARD: $33.5 million PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $100,000 and $250,000 PROJECT LOCATION: Nashville VA Medical Center, Nashville, TN Phase I Estimated Solicitation Post Date: June 15, 2013 Phase I Estimated Response Date: July 15, 2013 PROJECT OVERVIEW: The project will require the selected contractor to provide all technical design and construction services, supervision, labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for a complete engineering and construction project to renovate autopsy suite. General work includes but is not limited to demolition, upgrade and installation of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, controls, doors and finishes. The Two-Phase Design-Build solicitation and evaluation process shall be conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 36.3 (Two-Phase Design-Build Selection Procedures). The issued RFP shall set forth the requirements for responding to Phase I of the solicitation, as well as all technical evaluation factors and sub-factors for both Phase I and Phase II. At the closing date of the Phase I solicitation, the government shall evaluate responsive proposals received in response to Phase I of the solicitation to short-list no more than three (3) contractors for Phase II. Only those successful firms selected as a result of Phase I evaluations will be requested to submit technical and pricing proposals for Phase II. Phase II proposals shall be evaluated in accordance with the Phase II Evaluation Process.
