- This is a notice that AFSC/PZAAC anticipates issuing a Five Year Firm Fixed Price requirements type contract for the repair of blower assemblies (NSN: 4920-01-111-6824RN; P/N 75-4012GH9-466 or 89162-204). This will be a total Small Business Set-Aside. The contract will have a basic year along with 4 option years. The solicitation will be issued as an Insurance Buy. The basic year has a Mission Essential Quantity of 10 each, Proposal A (Qualified Source), that will be awarded to the Government's only approved source, The Pump Company (CAGE: 67V88). All other interested vendors will quote a basic year quantity of two each, Proposal A (Unqualified Source). All interested vendors will quote the option years. Delivery is required 30 Days After Receipt of the Repairable. Interested person(s) may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is a request for small business competitive proposals. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. To request a copy of this solicitation go to http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Approximate issue date of the solicitation is 11 Jun 13 with approximate response date by 11 Jul 13. All responsible sources may submit a proposal. The proposed contract action is for services for which the government intends to issue a small business set-aside solicitation. Offerors shall prepare their proposals in accordance with mandatory, explicit and detailed instructions contained in the RFP. All questions regarding the RFP MUST be submitted in writing to carlos.renfroe@robins.af.mil. All questions and answers will be uploaded to www.fedbizopps.gov. However, the identity of the potential offeror will not be included. Offerors are encouraged to register to receive notification for solicitation and all amendments/revisions and to check the FEDBIZOPPS site prior to submission of proposal. OMBUDSMAN: All potential offeror(s) should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If the contracting officer does not satisfy your concerns, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate serous contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
