Description

Pursuant to 13.106-1(b), the Federal Highway Administration intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) southwest and eastern regional bridge maintenance crews project management and streamlining of bridge maintenance activities. The objective of this project is to enable WSDOT regional bridge maintenance crews a singular management system for receiving, managing, and communicating the completed bridge maintenance tasks for state bridges within a particular region. The WSDOT, who is in partnership with the Federal Highway Administration for this project, is the only source that can complete the project since already has the MPET software which is accessible, which is required for the completion of this project. In addition WSDOT's in-house staff has the knowledge and expertise to take on a project implementing the software and uploading the regional bridge inventories for the southwest and eastern regions. A purchase order, issued under FAR Part 13 is anticipated and the total estimated value is not to exceed $16,000.00. The intent of this notice is not to request competitive proposals, and any information received from interested parties will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether a competitive procurement should be conducted. However, interested parties may submit a description of their firm's capabilities for satisfying this requirement, which demonstrates they possess the ability to successfully perform this effort.
