Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Caribbean Healthcare System, San Juan, Puerto Rico intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with Medical Optics, INC, 10320 W MCNAB RD. Florida, 33321-1813. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This action is to provide repair of cystoscope, Uretero-Renoscope, Laryngoscope, Colonoscope and Systoscope. The Veterans Affairs Caribbean Healthcare System at San Juan, Puerto Rico requires the contractor must have local service offices and representation within Puerto Rico. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No solicitation package is available. Interested persons may identify their capability to respond to these requirements by MAY 30, 2013 08:00AM Caribbean/Puerto Rico. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
