- Perform wilderness training and first aid workshop STATEMENT OF WORK For Wilderness Outdoor Training Needs BACKGROUND: The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) established the Pacific Islands Regional Office (PIRO) in April 2003. OBJECTIVE: The objective of this contract is to perform wilderness training and first aid during our observer training sessions. PROCESS SUPPORT: The contractor shall provide training in wilderness training which would include the following: Patient Assessment System Spin and Head Bleeding, Shock and Wounds Shock Advanced bleeding control Musculoskeletal Injury Staph Infections (MRSA) Factures Dislocations Traction Splinting Environmental, Medical Marine bites and stings Anaphlaxis Acute abdomen The unconscious patient Wilderness First Aid Kits Hook removal, pigs feet training Burn moulage **Please provide Lesson Plans for the above** WORK SKILLS REQUIRED: Ability to perform duties in a courteous, professional manner; ability to communicate clearly and to have the knowledge and experience to train the required subjects and the ability to use tact and professionalism even under adverse conditions. WORK SITE: Work shall be conducted at the offices of the Pacific Islands Regional Office, National Marine Fisheries Service, 1601 Kapiolani Blvd., Suite 1110, Honolulu, Hawaii and at outdoor locations near the office location. This site is easily accessible using public transportation. WORK SCHEDULE: Work shall be conducted on the days and during the hours required by the training team of the Observer Program. This would consist of 2.5 consecutive training days. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The period of performance shall be July 16, 2013 to July 18, 2013.
