Description
The work performed under this contract shall consist of furnishing all labor, tools, parts, materials, facilities and transportation necessary to repair PMEL HVAC System. Work shall include as a minimum the removal of the existing two air handlers, select chill water and hot water piping, expansion tanks, make up assemblies, select insulation for ductwork and piping, hot and chill water pumps, boiler, select controls, various valves and piping accessories, vav boxes, and all associated electrical work. Replacement of those devices and materials will occur per plan and specifications. Of critical concern is that the PMEL lab will be in operation along with the office and ancillary areas. The PMEL lab must be kept at 35% rh and 73F at all times to insure the lab calibration function is not compromised. Temporary equipment will be installed, engaged, and proven before demolition of existing equipment started. Temporary equipment will include chiller, air handlers, packaged DX systems, temporary piping and ductwork, new roof penetrations, and temporary pallets or mats for equipment to rest on during service work at Keesler AFB, MS. This acquisition will be awarded to a Hubzone Small Business Concern, utilizing Performance Price Trade-off (PPT) Procedures. Interested responsible Hubzone sources may submit a proposal. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238220. The size standard is $14.0 Million. Magnitude of proposed construction is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The Solicitation Package, Specifications, and Drawings (if applicable), will tentatively be posted on the FedBizOpps Website: http://www.fbo.gov on/or around 14 June 13 with a tentative closing date of 15 July 13. The contract performance period will be 120 days from the Notice to Proceed. All Contractors wishing to do business with the Government are required to register in the System for Award Management (SAM) DOD Central Contractor Registry (CCR) Database prior to any subsequent award. SAM/CCR Registration may be accomplished online at http://www.ccr.gov/ or https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. Contractors are further advised that failure to register in the DOD Central Registration Database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. Recommend registering immediately in SAM/CCR in order to be eligible for timely award. The single source of entry for all documentation pertaining to this acquisition will be http://www.fbo.gov.
