Description
The Army Contracting Command-New Jersey (ACC-NJ), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager Combat Ammunition Systems intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the manufacture and delivery of the M739A1 Point Detonating/Delay (PD/DLY) Fuze which is used on the 155mm bursting projectiles and the Projectile Gun Unit (PGU), PGU-43/B 105mm Target Practice (TP) Cartridge used with the 105mm Gun System on the AC 130 Gun Ship, and the Safe and Arm (S&A) Module Assemblies which are used in the M825A1 White Phosphorous (WP) Smoke Projectiles. The Government intends to award up to two Firm Fixed Price (FFP) 5 year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract(s) to procure up to approximately one million M739A1 PD/DLY Fuzes delivered at a rate of up to 25,000 per month and up to 60,000 M825A1 S&A Module Assemblies delivered at a rate of 10,000 per month. The M739A1 PD/DLY Fuze and the M825A1 S&A Module Assembly will be manufactured, inspected, assembled, packaged and delivered in accordance with their respective Government Technical Data Packages (TDP) and applicable contract requirements. Competition for this effort will be restricted to the National Technology and Industrial Base (NTIB), within the United States and Canada, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(3), as implemented by FAR 6.302-3 (a)(2)(i), Industrial Mobilization; Engineering, Developmental, or Research Capability; or Expert Services. Please note this notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP). The anticipated award is scheduled for September 2013. It is expected that the solicitation will be posted the latter part of April 2013. In addition to the two forms, a Non-Disclosure Agreement will also need to be signed.
