- This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for information purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS, OR BIDS. A Market Survey is being conducted to determine if there are adequate HUBZone, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned, and Small Business contractors for the following proposed work. The Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, is interested in awarding (1) Firm Fixed Price Contract for Maintenance Dredging, Delaware River, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Trenton, New Jersey. Work includes, maintenance dredging of the within the project channel of the Delaware River and Fairless Turning Basin. (a) Dredging will be performed to a depth of 40 feet MLLW plus 1 foot allowable over depth limited by a vertical plane through the required depth contour from station 87+895 to station 122+400. Dredging will be required to a distance of 25 feet outside the channel limits. (b) Dredging will be performed to a depth of 22 feet MLLW plus 1 foot allowable over depth limited by a vertical plane through the required depth contour from station 142+500 to station 144+675. Dredging will be required to a distance of 25 feet outside the channel limits. (c) Dredging of the Fairless Turning Basing will be performed to a depth of 40 feet MLLW plus 1 foot allowable over depth from station -0+245 to station 0+800 with no side slopes delineated and/or paid for along the basin's east/west berthing lane edges and the west channel edge of Newbold Range. Dredging will also be required to a distance of 25 feet outside the three remaining edges of the turning basin. (d) No side slopes or end slopes are specified for this contract. (e) The use of hopper and mechanical/bucket dredges will not be permitted under this contract. (f) The Government-furnished disposal areas available for use under this contract are Area No. 26 (Money Island) and Area No. 28 (Biles Island) located in Falls Township, PA. An Award for the Contract is anticipated for August 2013. Estimated cost range of the project is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. The NAICS Code for this project is 237990 and the small business size standard is $20 Million. Responses to this sources sought announcement will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. All interested HUBZone, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Small Business contractors should submit a narrative demonstrating their experience in the specified work, as well as, their technical capabilities. Please include size/classification of your firm, bonding capacity (single project and aggregate), details of similar projects, completion dates, references and contract amount.
