Description
DOL Wage Determination for Alaska Recycling Data Summaries for Fiscal Years 2009-2012 GFE - Baler Specifications Kodiak Recycling Solicitation HSCG89-14-R-PK4003 The United States Coast Guard Base Kodiak, Alaska, has a need for a contractor to provide recycling services of delivered recyclable materials from Base Kodiak. This service may be performed at the contractor's site, or shipped at the contractor's expense to an alternate facility to perform the service. The government has the option to award One or Two contracts under this solicitation consistent with the stated evaluation factors. One contract may be awarded for the following recyclable materials: paper, cardboard, paperboard, all types of electronics, and plastic materials. Another contract may be awarded for ferrous scrap metal, nonferrous scrap metal, and scrap tires. Paper, cardboard, paperboard, and plastic will be delivered in mixed, non-segrated loads. The contractor is to provide sorting services of these recyclable materials to include the removal of non-recyclables or recyclables not meeting industrial standards from materials delivered to the contractor's site. All non-recyclable solid waste recovered from the sorting operations at the contractor's site will be disposed of in Coast Guard-provided dumpsters at the contractor's site and delivered to the landill by the USCG base operating support services (BOSS) contractor. The USCG will be responsible for landfill disposal fees of delivered non-recyclables. There are no set-asides for this solicitation. NOTE: The primary contract specialist will be on leave June 5-18, 2013. Please contact the alternate contract specialist for questions that cannot wait upon the primary contract specialist's return.
