- The Department of Veterans Affairs VISN 15 Contracting Office is seeking Small Business potential sources for the purchase of a Skid Unit that fits in the back of a pickup truck, unit sprays and seals asphalt. NAICS Code selected: 333120/ CONSTRUCTION MACHINERY MFG. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition for the Kansas City VA Medical Center. Brand name or equal as listed below must meet or exceed the following characteristics as stated below: Seal Rite SR-550 SKID UNIT or equal consists of the following: 30 gallon Jenny Air Compressor by a 13HP Electric Start Engine Full sweep variable speed hydraulic agitation with 3/8" rubber wiper blades on each paddle 2" Widen p8 air-operated, dual-diaphragm pump 3 gallon filter pot and 100' Hannay Manual wind hose reel with 100' of ¾" 300 psi hand hose on swivel mount with 6-1/2" aluminum spray wand (4)each 6" 250,000 candle watt off-road lights and (4)each LED strobe lights Air operated spray bar with 6 tips and individual ball valves on each tip for reduced leakage and desired spray width (9' spray width) Suspension seat with mounting brackets 30 gallon direct fire smelter with 2" molasses valve 2 gallon pour pot and V-squeegee with wooden handle. Potential contractors shall provide, at a minimum, the following information to: Purchasing agent James Stringer james.stringer2@va.gov 1) Offerors name, address, point of contact name, phone number, and e-mail address. 2) Offerors interest in bidding on the solicitation when it is issued. 3) Company's DUNS number Cage, type of small business and Business Size. 4) Brief capability statement with enough information to determine if the company can meet the requirement. The Capabilities Statement for this sources sought is not expected to be a Request for Proposal or Invitation for Bid, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach, but rather short statement regarding the company's ability to provide the service above. Any commercial brochures or currently existing marketing material may also be submitted with the capabilities statement. Submission of capabilities statement will assist our office in tailoring the requirement to be consistent with industry standards. The capabilities will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining to Set-Aside for the Small Business Community or to proceed as an Unrestricted Procurement. Other than small businesses may respond to this notice in the event the market does not indicate SB interest, however, preference will be given IAW FAR Part 8 and VAAR Part 808. The Government must ensure there is adequate competition among the potential pool of available contractors. This notice is for information and planning purposes only and is neither to be not construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pays for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation.
