Description
Oshkosh Corporation, Oshkosh, Wis. is being awarded an estimated $192,852,826 firm-fixed price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract under Contract No. M67854-13-D-0214 for the procurement of P-19R Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicles, support and sustainment, to replace the current fleet of Truck, Firefighting, Aircraft Crash and Structure Fire, A/S32 P-19A for the United States Marine Corps. The Marine Corps P-19A Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting Vehicle Replacement (P-19R) addresses the shortcomings of the P-19A (i.e. - NFPA 414, fording, mobility). It will be equipped with fire suppression compounds, handheld extinguishers, and tools required to extinguish aircraft fires, protect rescue personnel, cool explosive ordnance, and extract aircrews. The P-19R will seat a four man crew, be transportable aboard ship borne carriers, and meet off road mobility requirements. This program will replace P-19As at both Tactical (MWSS) and Garrison Mobile Equipment (GME) (Bases and Station) units. The scope of this contract covers the development and procurement of at least one test article, up to 164 production vehicles, engineering, testing, training, and logistics support required to fulfill the needs of the United States Marine Corps.
