- This sources sought announcement is for acquisition planning purposes and no formal solicitation exists at this time. All qualified concerns may submit capability statements for consideration. Capability statements received will be reviewed to determine the technical, experience, administrative, management, and financial capability of such offerors to perform this type of work. The capability statements will be used to determine appropriate procurement strategy, in particular whether a set-aside is warranted or an alternate procurement strategy is warranted. The Bureau of Reclamation in Boulder City, NV is seeking qualified sources to upgrade the existing security card reader system at the Regional Office campus. The contractor must be AMAG certified and shall provide a copy of the certification. The work will consist of installing roughly 20 new card readers at various locations on the campus and 3 vehicle drop arm gates. The newly installed card readers must be compatible with the existing security card reader system. The current card reader hardware is HID/RPK40 (6130BT000D09-G3.0) and the current software is AMAG Version 7.0.1 Homeland Security Edition (HSE). The work will consist of installing all of the necessary hardware for the new card readers and integrating the software for each new card reader into the existing intrusion detection management software. The work may involve modifying existing door hardware to integrate with the newly installed card readers. The work may involve running new conduit and power cable to power the new card readers. The work may involve installing new junction boxes and/or expansion cards to existing junction boxes to integrate the newly installed card readers. Interested vendors are invited to submit capability packages describing the products/services they provide related to meeting the above requirements. Packages shall include but not limited to the following information: (1) Provide business name, address, business size and socio-economic type (8(a), HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran, Small Business, Large Business, etc.), and point of contact to include e-mail address and telephone number; (2) Demonstrate the firm's experience, of project in similar size and complexity, by providing a list of projects completed where the work involved installation and integration of AMAG card readers, AMAG card reader software and drop arm vehicle gates which has been completed within the past five years and in which your firm performed the installation. Specify in the list the extent of work completed by your firm and that work which was subcontracted. Additionally, for each project listed, provide the following: a brief description of the work performed, project title, dollar value of the job, the facility or site name and location, and the customer's contact name and phone number for the work completed; and (3) Provide at least three (3) references to include Name(s) and telephone number(s) of references from the acquiring agency or customer who may be contacted for further information. Capability statements are to be submitted no later than June 14, 2013.
