Description

This is a Sources Sought announcement in accordance with FAR Part 10, to identify potential sources. The Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, KY has a requirement for Annual State FDA inspection of all X-ray systems in quantity of 36 machines total. The inspection must be done by a qualified medical Physicists whom is certified by the American Board of Radiology. The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 541690 and the size standard is $14.0M in annual revenue. Specification of for this requirement is as follows; 1.The contractor shall provide Diagnostic X-ray Radiation Machine Compliance testing. Compliance with these standards will provide compliance with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Regulations for the Health and Safety Act and Joint Commission (JC) Standards. 2.The contractor shall provide a qualified medical physicist, is defined by the JC and the American Association of Physicists in Medicine as an individual who is certified by the American Board of Radiology in the appropriate disciplines of radiological physics, such as diagnostic radiological physics. This certification shall be submitted with the proposal. 3.The compliance testing shall be performed annually and shall meet the Diagnostic X-ray Radiation Machine Compliance standards, as a minimum, and testing for verification of focal spot size for each x-ray tube. The Equipment ID# associated with each tube needs to be listed. 4.All equipment listed is located at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center, 800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky. 5.All scheduling for testing of the equipment will be coordinated with the Chief Technologist in Radiology. 6.The completed report (with original signature) shall be submitted to the Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR) within 30 days after completion of the testing. 7.Estimated 36 tubes: 1.25 Rad tubes 2.8 Fluoro tubes 3.3 CT tubes This Source Sought is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement.
