- Description
- The Air Force intends to solicit proposals from qualified vendors for a firm-fixed price contract for Removal/Installation of Carpet/Padding & Vinyl/Ceramic Floor Tile in Military Family Housing on Okinawa, Japan. The procurement is a commercial acquisition wherein the contractor is to ensure that is performed at on all military installations on Okinawa, Japan. This is a synopsis for a commercial acquisition using Commercial Acquisition procedures (Reference FAR Part 12). The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, transportation, and other items and services necessary to perform REMOVAL/INSTALLATION OF CARPET/PADDING AND VINYL/CERAMIC FLOOR TILE as defined in this Performance Work Statement (PWS) at All DoD Military Family Housing (MFH), Okinawa, Japan. The proposed contract will be awarded using full and open competition. This service will be conducted in all Military Family Housing on Okinawa, Japan. Period of performance will be four (5) years; a base year of twelve (12) months and three (4) option periods of twelve (12) months each. The anticipated effective date will be 1 October 2013. Solicitation No. FA5270-13-R-0030 will be issued as a Request for Proposal. It is advertised with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 238330. The solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 28 June 13 at www.fbo.gov. Proposals will be accepted when submitted via e-mail to joshua.setchell@us.af.mil or when hand carried; proposals must be deposited in the bid depository located at 18 CONS/LGCA, Bldg 99, Kadena AB, Okinawa. The contractor shall be knowledgeable of and comply with all Department of Defense and Japan Environmental Governing Standards Waste requirements regarding environmental protection. In the event environmental laws, regulations, or requirements change during the term of the contract, the contractor shall comply with such changes. Offerors must submit a paper copy of their proposal as well as all information required by the solicitation if proposal is submitted by email. The Request for Proposal issue date is an estimation of the date on which the solicitation will be available; however, the solicitation may be posted before or after this projected date. The closing date for receipt of offers will 30 days after issuance of the solicitation. Anticipated award date will be on or around 30 Aug 13. Facsimile, telephone or written request for the solicitation package will not be honored. HARD COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED FOR ANY REASON. All prospective offerors interested in submitting proposals must have a Commercial and Governments Entity (CAGE) code, and must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/) in order to be eligible for receipt of contract award.
