- The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity is issuing a second amendment to the sources sought notice on behalf of the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC) drug discovery and development mission, in the provision of additional information of the requirement. Additional market research is being conducted to obtain and acquire industry information on the availability of companies who have proven capability in the oversight and management of a chemical repository and chemical information systems. The principal objectives of the project are the receipt, storage, inventory, distribution, documentation, disposal, and control of synthetic compounds, natural products, bulk drugs and formulated drugs. Objectives are to be accomplished by means of: 1. Providing the necessary qualified personnel, facilities, equipment, materials and services to operate a chemical inventory laboratory for the receipt, storage and maintenance of approximately 500,000 chemical samples including facilities for the preparation and shipment of approximately 15,000 chemical samples annually; 2. Administering and maintaining manual, digital, and imaged chemical information and inventory systems for the storage and retrieval of chemical sample data sheets, investigational new drug's (IND's), clinical protocols, and other documents in support of the USAMRMC's missions utilizing Government database management CoreLIMS software. The contractor shall accommodate changing priorities and technologies in computer hardware and software; and 3. Providing controlled cGMP inventory storage of preclinical and clinical lots of samples and of radiolabeled (14C and 3H) chemicals in accordance with appropriate local, state, and Federal Government regulations. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS ONLY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. PROPOSALS ARE NOT REQUIRED AT THIS TIME AND WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Any information submitted is voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information that is submitted in response to this sources sought synopsis. Respondents having proven capability of satisfying the requirements stated herein should provide a narrative identifying business size (large business, small businss, and small disadvantaged business, etc.), applicable designators (service-disabled veteran-owned, HUBZone, woman-owned, etc.), experience performing the same or similar services and General Services Administration/Federal Supply Schedule information, if applicable.
