Description

This "Sources Sought Notice" is to determine sources for a High Vacuum Evaporator that is brand name or equal to the Denton DV-502B High Vacuum Evaporator. The following is list of parts with salient characteristics required: Item Information ITEM NUMBERDESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES/SERVICESSalient Characteristics 1 DV-502B High Vacuum Evaporator -Intended use: Pre-sharpened carbon rods: pump oil; vacuum grease - carbon rods for evaporative carbon coating of freeze dried biological specimens for transmission electron microscopy.-Belly Jar Size "12 x 12 w/guard suitable for freeze dried apparatus - Pump "5.8 cfm mechanical pump "250 lps diffusion pump -Other features "LN2 Trap - located below the high vacuum valve. Manual fill via external funnel. "Carbon Rod Evaporation Accessory "AC Glow w/Gas "Sigma SQM 160 deposition thickness monitor. This is not a request for bids, quotes, or proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. Interested parties submitting a response to this inquiry must include the following information: name and address of company; business size (large or small); identify applicable socioeconomic categories and any pertinent information which demonstrates firms ability to meet the above requirement. All responses shall be submitted no later than June 11, 2013 at 9:00am EST. Responses shall be emailed to: cleveland.wynne@va.gov.
