Description

This is a sources sought for the VA Medical Center located in Memphis, TN to determine the availability of Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses and/or Veteran-Owned Small Businesses within the area, relative to NAICS code 518210, having the skills and capabilities necessary to provide this service. This request for information (RFI) is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered as an invitation for bid, request for quotation, request for proposal, or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. Your response to this RFI will be treated as information only. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses to this announcement or the Government use of such information. This request does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or the authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. No funds have been authorized, appropriated, or received for this effort. The contractor shall provide off-site medical transcription for radiology and nuclear medicine reports. Transcription includes a high incidence of technical terminology and a wide knowledge of specialized vocabulary for all sections of Radiology service. Contractor shall have the knowledge and skills to transcribe from the Lanier VXP Digital Dictation System, the current system utilized by the Memphis VA Medical Center. Dictation shall be transcribed and entered directly into the Decentralized Hospital Computer Program (DHCP) via remote connectivity. All contracted personnel will be required to have a security background investigation, in order to perform the requirements. The information provided may be used by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee as a requirement for Transcription services for the Memphis, Tennessee Veterans Administration Medical Center Facility, in developing its acquisition strategy and statement of work/statement of objectives and performance specifications. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or to otherwise pay for the information submitted in response to this RFI.
